दौड़ना (daudna), to run, कूदना (koodna), to jump, and खाना (khana), to eat, are physical, energetic verbs that children love acting out while learning, turning language practice into genuine movement and play. A simple game, calling out an action word and having a child perform it, daudo, run, koodo, jump, reinforces both vocabulary and listening comprehension at once, without needing any formal grammar explanation.

These action verbs also lay useful groundwork for later grammar lessons, since children who already know the words instinctively find it easier to understand tense and sentence structure once that stage of learning begins. A useful extension is a simple Simon says style game played entirely in Hindi, calling out daudo, koodo or khao and having a child respond with the matching action.

The playful unpredictability of the game keeps a child listening closely, reinforcing both vocabulary and quick listening comprehension at once. Adding a slow motion round to the game, where every action is performed dramatically slowly, keeps the activity fresh and genuinely funny for repeated play.
